When you receive an error message on the on-board computer after connecting LED lighting, it is not always because the bulb is faulty. Because LED lights are much more economical compared to other lights, it is possible that you will get an error message. An ILS microprocessor prevents error messages when connecting LED lights. An ILS microprocessor is one of the canbus solutions within the TRALERT® product range.

Why an error message?

When you install new LED lighting on your vehicle, it is possible that you will receive an error message on the on-board computer. The message indicates that the lights are defective but this is usually not the case. LED lights have many advantages over other lights such as halogen. LED lighting is namely more resistant to peak voltages and lasts much longer. In addition, LED lighting is much more efficient with energy. Because a LED lamp uses less energy to provide light, the on-board computer of your car will display an error message. It sees that a lamp uses almost no energy and therefore thinks that the lamp isn't lit at all. By adding an ILS microprocessor, you can prevent the error message from appearing on your on-board computer.

Different canbus solutions

The ILS microprocessor is part of the canbus solutions. There are also other ways to remedy an error message on the on-board computer.
